Upon arrival at the Raceway grounds Friday, there will be a designated parking area for all CMC cars!  Drag racing will also be available for all members on this day so if you are interested, go over to the strip EARLY to get your car teched.

On Saturday at the track we will get to make a few parade laps around the circle track and all cars will end up on pit row for a group photo as well as video coverage for Mopar Collector's Guide magazine.
Editor Rob Wolf in conjunction with CMC will proudly sport event tee shirts honoring the weekend and we are  planning on a "travelling hood" with MCG's and CMC's logo and everyone will sign this hood to commemorate the weekend.

Also on Sarurday, we will be serving lunch to everyone on the grounds where we are parking, and that evening we are planning on all meeting for dinner at a pre-determined restaurant near our headquarters hotel.  Details are soon to follow as they are made available to us.

ABOUT CHICAGOLAND MOPAR CONNECTION
The Chicagoland Mopar Connection is one of the largest regional collector car clubs in the country with over 700 members.

CLUB GOALS
The goals of CMC are to:

  • Provide events and activities that enhance the ownership, enjoyment and appreciation of our vehicles.
  • Promote camaraderie within the collector car community.
  • Support and engage in charitable activities that benefit the community as a whole.
While we are justifiable proud of our events, we also recognize that one of the best parts of membership is the friendships that develop through participating in club activities.

ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
CMC has a very active year around CALENDAR OF EVENTS. The year begins with our annual chapter Holiday parties held December - February. These events close the previous year and begin the new year. Traditionally, we make our major charitable donations and decisions at these events. Next, in February we hold our annual indoor swap meet at Larry Roesch Chrysler Plymouth in Elmhurst. We than hold our first car show of the season in May, in Naperville, IL. Then in June we have our annual Fox River Chapter show in Fox Lake, IL. The next major event is the two-day event in July at the beautiful Boone County Fairgrounds in Belvidere, IL. Our next event then would be the show in August in Dubuque, IA. We also are considering returning our September open charity show for Maryville to the schedule. Other shows and activities can happen on a more spontaneous basis, for example, last year we had an informal meeting with Pro Stock driver Allen Johnson. Throughout this period other local cruises and non CMC shows take place and many members actively participate in these events. Watch the newsletter and our website for dates and further information on both CMC and non CMC events.

CHAPTERS
Over the years we have expanded our membership base to include a large portion of Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin and Eastern Iowa. To continue to provide the best service to members we have established chapters in: Rockford, IL - Rock Valley chapter, Dubuque, IA - Willowa chapter, Wauconda, IL – Fox River chapter, and the rest of the Chicagoland Area - CAM chapter. Additionally, we are taking steps to encourage the possible creation of a South Side chapter for our members that live in the far South Chicago and Suburban area. By establishing several chapters in the different geographical areas we hope to encourage the maximum participation from our members and bring meetings and events closer to where they live.

MEMBERSHIP
There are no prerequisites for membership in CMC other than an interest in Chrysler manufactured vehicles. The annual dues are $25.00. Benefits of membership include a monthly newsletter, The Birds and the Bees, free personal want ads in the newsletter, discounted event fees and other special offers to members. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, we would be pleased to have you join us, just print out the membership application and become part of the best Mopar club around.
